Zaccari Miller,Two Identified After Deadly Early-Morning House Fire in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE – The two individuals who perished in an early-morning house fire this week have been officially identified. The Grant County Coroner’s Office named the victims as Nikki Leggett, 30, and Zaccari Miller, 29. Both died from smoke inhalation.

The fatal blaze erupted around 1:50 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at a residence near Miller Drive and Highland Drive. The Moses Lake Fire Department, with aid from Grant County Fire District 5, responded to reports of a structure fire with possible entrapment.

Upon arrival, crews found the home heavily engulfed. They initiated an aggressive fire attack and immediately searched for occupants. The fire was brought under control quickly, but during the interior search, firefighters located two victims who were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities confirmed that two other residents managed to escape the home before firefighters arrived.

The exact cause of the fire remains undetermined and is under active investigation by local authorities. Officials stated that updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
