Coroner Identifies Two Men Killed in Fatal I-80 Crash in Monroe County,Adam Lander
The Monroe County Coroner’s Office has identified the two men who died in a fatal crash along Interstate 80 in Monroe County earlier this week. Authorities said the victims were 25-year-old Adam Lander of Cranberry and 32-year-old Nathaniel Durell of Franklin, both from Venango County.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred Monday when the pickup truck the men were traveling in left the roadway for reasons that remain under investigation. After departing the interstate, the truck struck a tree with significant force.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after the crash was reported. Despite lifesaving efforts, both Lander and Durell were pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of their injuries, officials said.

Investigators have not yet released details about what may have caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. Authorities have not ruled out factors such as speed, driver distraction, mechanical issues, or road conditions. No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the crash.
Images released by Pennsylvania State Police show extensive damage to the truck, underscoring the violent impact of the collision. Traffic along I-80 was temporarily affected as first responders and investigators worked at the scene.
The Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Anyone with information related to the incident is encouraged to contact state police as the investigation remains ongoing.
