It is with profound sadness that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wayne County announces the passing of Avontae Clinton—a longtime member, cherished staffer, and beloved friend.
Avontae’s journey embodied our mission. We watched with pride as he grew up within our walls, graduated, and chose to return, dedicating himself to guiding the next generation. His path renewed our purpose daily.
If kindness is a universal language, Avontae was fluent. His incredible talent for animation and drawing was matched only by his palpable joy and radiant smile. He had so much to offer this world, and we are eternally grateful he shared his gifts with us. A treasured art piece he created for the Club will stand as a lasting testament to his spirit.
