Philip Erdoes Death-Mary Erdoes Mourns loss of Her Husband
Philip Erdoes, a 1985 graduate of Oklahoma State University, was a multifaceted executive and investor whose sudden passing leaves a profound void. As CEO of furniture manufacturer The New Traditionalists and Chairman & CEO of data analytics firm Bear Cognition, Erdoes demonstrated a keen business intellect.
His passion for storytelling was channeled through his role as managing partner of Last Rodeo Studios, a film production and investment entity. His investment reach, via Bear Ventures, spanned technology, manufacturing, design, and logistics.
Erdoes was deeply committed to civic and academic leadership. He served on the boards of AlefEdge, the National Board of TEDx, and the Dean’s Advisory Board for Harvard Business School, and was a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

He and his wife, Mary Erdoes, CEO of JPMorgan Asset & Wealth Management, were dedicated philanthropists, supporting children’s charities like Fabretto, UNICEF, and Robin Hood. The family also established a lasting scholarship fund for the OSU-OKC President’s Leadership Council.
Philip Erdoes is survived by his wife, Mary, and their three daughters, Mia, Morgan, and Mason, with whom he made his home in New York City. He is also survived by his brother, Peter Erdoes, and his wife, Kim, who serve on the OSU Board of Governors. His legacy is one of enterprise, generosity, and devoted family love.
